National Register of Historic Places
In 2013 LPA undertook managing three new listings on the National Register of Historic Places: 707 Main Street, Eudora; B’nai Israel Cemetery, Eudora; Robinson Oakridge Farm Barn, Kansas University Biological Field Station.
In addition, LPA is contracting with an education professional to craft a program on the National Register for Historic Places and to train LPA Board Members and other volunteers in how to best present this program.
This project was funded through the Douglas County Natural & Cultural Heritage Grant Program. Additional funding partners include, property owners, the City of Eudora and the LPA through the support of our members. Project will be completed by fall 2012.
UPDATE: B’nai Israel Cemetery in Eudora was added to the national register on Jan. 2 of 2013!
