Historic Mount Oread Friends, in partnership with LPA, will sponsor a tour of the Seventh Floor of Dyche Hall, home of the Natural History museum, and talk about the effort to restore the building’s grotesques. The Seventh Floor, not normally open to the public, recently received a complete renovation following preservation standards. Exterior restoration determined that the grotesque statues were failing and had to be removed. The Museum will share the steps it’s taking to have them replaced. A limited number of tickets for the tour are available to non-members of HMOF. More information and registration for the tour are available here.
