Haskell Greenhouse Campus Tour

Join the Lawrence Preservation Alliance (LPA) for a guided tour of the vibrant Haskell Greenhouse at Haskell Indian Nations University on Wednesday, August 14th at 4pm (rain date August 21st).

Led by:

  • Courtney Eddy King, Spring Preservation in Progress (PIP) award winner, and her student greenhouse team

  • Travis Campbell, Director of the Haskell Cultural Center and Museum

Highlights:

  • Explore the exciting smaller garden plots around the greenhouse and campus buildings.

  • Learn about the history of the campus and its historic buildings.

  • See the efforts to replace non-native plants with native ones, creating a Monarch Waystation and a thriving ecosystem.

  • Enjoy the beauty of late-summer native plants in bloom.

  • Date: Wednesday, August 14th (rain date August 21st)

  • Time: 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

  • Location: Tour begins at the Haskell Cultural Center, 2411 Barker Avenue

  • Walking Distance: Approximately 1 mile (flat terrain)

  • Refreshments: Provided at the greenhouse
